Text input question

One of the problems that I have run into with MonoGame is getting user text input in a consistent way on iOS and Android devices. I ended up creating a custom Guide class in a prototype but I was wondering how this was handled in Cocos2d. I've looked through the tests and the sample project however I did not see an example of text input.

cocos2d-xna does not do anything specific to text input yet. It will use the Guide in XNA to get input, but right now CCTextInput is not implemented. We may also use the native UI for text input when dealing with iOS and Android devices.
